Profile: Founded and overseen by the Yoshida family for over 124 years, spanning 5 generations. One of the first breweries to offer a premium Ginjo style sake for consumption and not just for competition. Umenoyado began brewing Ginjo style sake in the 1970s; over 10 years before others. Located between the Katsuragi and Nijo Mountains. Uses pristine iron-free water from springs originating from Mt. Katsuragi. Uniquely designed 3 chamber Koji room with perfectly controlled environment.
