Sake has also been considered a sacred substance since ancient times, serving as a link between Gods and people and playing a major role in ceremonies and celebrations. This carefully designed item also features an LED light and remote control to enjoy a lit up Mt. Fuji in various colors - representing the changing seasons. Gently tilt the bottle and gold leaf will "snow" over Mt. Fuji. Profile: Fujinishiki brewery is located in Fujimomiya city, at the southern foot of Mt. Fuji in Shizuoka prefecture. It is family owned since it's founding in 1688 and is currently operated by the 18th generation. Fujinishiki have always used ground water from Mt. Fuji which is protected by bedrock from an ancient eruption. The name Fujinishiki came from Yukio Ozaki , Mayor of Tokyo known for donating the cherry blossom trees to Washington D.C. Mayor Ozaki visited the brewery in 1914 and described the red leaves of Mt. Fuji as a rich brocade (nishiki).
