KIKUSUI SHUZO
Brewery: Kikusui Sake Brewery Co. LTD
Founded: 1944
Located in Iida City in southern Nagano Prefecture, Kikusui Sake Brewery is the area's only brewery. It was founded in 1944 through the merger of 37 local breweries. Using the revived sake rice "Takane Nishiki," grown by local contract farmers, they brew sake with traditional methods. For other products, they prioritize local Nagano ingredients, taking advantage of the region’s high elevation, temperature variation, and long sunlight hours. The brewery is dedicated to crafting sake unique to Iida City with a distinct, local character.
