SUWA MIKOTSURU SHUZO
Brewery: Suwa Mikotsuru Sake Brewery
Founded: 2018
The brewery was founded at the foot of Suwa Taisha Shrine in the early Taisho era. The local sake was named "Mikozuru" in honor of the crane that appeared on Lake Suwa, which is not a place where cranes normally fly. With a deep respect for local craftsmanship and natural ingredients, the brewery produces small-batch sake using pure alpine spring water and carefully selected rice. Known for its clean, elegant flavors and a deep connection to regional heritage, Suwa Mikotsuru blends time-honored brewing techniques with a modern sensibility, making it a beloved name among sake enthusiasts.

Tasting Notes
A refined aroma reminiscent of fruits like pears, characteristic of highly polished Yamada Nishiki rice. Rich in flavor yet not heavy, it offers a smooth and rounded mouthfeel that is very pleasant. The umami, sweetness, and acidity are well balanced, making it easy to pair with food. Enjoy in a wine glass.
