Profile: Kondo Shuzo was founded in Omama-machi, Gunma Prefecture in 1875. The name of this sake "Akagisan" comes from “Meigetsui Akagiyama (Harvest Moon of Akagi Mountain)” known for the heroic historical figure Chuji Kunisada. The brewery has specialized in making dry sake since its beginning, using the naturally filtered subsoil water from Akagi Mountain. It continues to brew smooth and refreshing sake that you never grow tired of. Winner of the 77th Kanto Shinetsu National Tax Agency Conference Grand Prize.
