The Nihon Sakari main HQ is in Nishinomiya, an area well known for sake brewing. In the 17th century, almost 30% of sake breweries were based there. In 2000 they changed the name of the company from Nishinomiya Sake Brewing Company to Nihon Sakari Co., LTD. They also have a sake based beauty product line developed in the 1980s. For their 120th anniversary, they re-established their slogan to be "More flavorful, more beautiful".

The Wonders of Nihonsakari
The three essential elements for sake brewing are 'rice,' 'water,' and 'nature.' Only when these three conditions are met can a good sake be produced. Nihonsakari utilizes premium sake rice, such as 'Yamada Nishiki,' and pristine water called 'Miyamizu,' which is suitable for sake brewing. In addition, they also benefit from the cold breeze known as 'Rokko Oroshi,' which is crucial for the brewing process. Under these favorable conditions, Nihonsakari continues to brew sake in Nishinomiya.
In the mid-Meiji era, a group of approximately 50 young individuals formed “the Nansetsu Youth Cooperation Association”. Later, with the aim of contributing to the local community of Nishinomiya, they established the “Youth Yui Association” and in 1889, founded Nishinomiya Corporation, a stock organization, to begin the sake brewing business. This became the roots of their company. In 1913, they became an official supplier of sake to the Imperial Household Agency with the brand "Sou-hana." Then, in the year 2000, marking their 111th anniversary, they changed their company name to "Nihonsakari".
Tasting Notes
SAKARI Gari is a new-style Japanese liqueur that blends the refreshing aroma of sweet pickled ginger with the gentle sweetness of sake. Its balanced combination of sweetness, acidity, and a light ginger spice spreads smoothly across the palate, finishing clean and crisp. Exceptionally food-friendly, it pairs well with many dishes and works beautifully in highballs or citrus-based cocktails.
